7 v 7
Our 2024 7-on-7 tournament focused on taking down the stigma surrounding mental health for student athletes. We set up stations for the athletes in between games to offer additional support in the form of nutritional information, strength training advice, and career/college readiness training from the JHU Life Design Lab and Admissions office as well to acquire essential resources for improving their own discussions of mental health. We hosted our guest speaker, Teddy Sourlis, who has an expertise in dealing with the obstacles faced by young athletes.
Connected With Those Alike
The student-athletes who attended our event not only had fun playing football, but they were also coached and mentored by college football players who understand the physical and mental challenges that come with being a football player.

Development Over Performance
The focus on development rather than performance allowed the players to truly have a blast playing the sports they love while at the same learning important life lessons that will carry them through their lives.
Understanding Athletics
By guiding the student-athletes through workouts and drills, they got a taste of the grind of college athletics and how to properly warm-up to stay healthy for practices and games.

Interpersonal Skills
We also guided the student-athletes by showing them how to respectfully interact with Hopkins support staff and fellow players by emphasizing being coachable and always uplifting others.
