Tom Grehan (President)

Bio: Junior from Concord, Massachusetts majoring in Molecular and Cellular Biology with a minor in Bioethics, Linebacker on the football team, currently on the pre-med track looking to apply to medical schools within the next two cycles (EY2025/EY2026), Returning this summer for the third year to work in a breast cancer immunology lab at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute in Boston MA, Active member of the university Student Conduct and Academic Ethics Hearing Board, Undergraduate research assistant in neuroscience clinical research at the Johns Hopkins Hospital, Volunteering efforts include student leader for the JHU Food Pantry, clinical volunteering at MedStar Union Memorial Hospital, and elementary school tutor. 

Bio: Junior from Odenton, Maryland pursuing a degree in Public Health on the pre-med track. Wide Receiver on the football team and currently planning to apply for the 2026 med school cycle. I am an active member in the community through volunteering at Henderson Hopkins, tutoring at the Pen Lucy community and being an end-of-life companion at Gilchrist Hospice. Currently looking for research/internship opportunities for the upcoming summer. 

Bio: Junior from Lafayette, Louisiana majoring in international studies and political science with a planned graduation of May 2025. Linebacker on the football team and exploring graduate school options in security-related international studies programs. Was a 2023 Louisiana Governor’s Fellow, spending the summer learning and working in a state agency while gaining valuable behind-closed-doors experience, culminating in a policy proposal presentation to Governor John Bel Edwards and staff. Member of the inaugural Hopkins Semester DC cohort this spring, interning in US Customs and Border Protection. Currently looking for summer opportunities in the DMV area. 

Bio: Junior from Newnan, Georgia pursuing a degree in Economics and a minor in Applied Mathematics and Statistics. Running back on the football team and planning to work in the finance industry after graduation. Accepted an internship with JP Morgan Private Bank in Asset Management and Multi Asset Class Investments for this summer (2023) in Atlanta, Ga. Actively involved in BJB as a Co-Founder and Treasurer through managing the organization’s financial structure, donations, and sponsorships. Volunteer at the JHU and Henderson Hopkins Food Pantries and within the up and coming Johns Hopkins Sports Science Department.

Junior from Elk River, Minnesota, First generation college student majoring in Public Health Studies and a linebacker on the football team. Co-founder of Blue Jays for Baltimore, responsible for creating/updating the BJB website, Leader of the marketing group, Public Health research assistant responsible for conducting accessibility audits of over 50 major US public transportation systems, and volunteers with Special Olympics Maryland and Henderson-Hopkins Elementary/Middle School. Accepted a 2024 summer internship with Booz Allen Hamilton in McLean, VA.

Bio: Junior from Chicago, Illinois majoring in Public Health and Natural Sciences, on the Pre-Med track planning to apply to medical school in this upcoming cycle (EY2025). Team Captain and Midfielder/Forward on the Women’s Soccer Team. Vice President of the Hellenic Students Association, Vice President of Philanthropy for Alpha Phi Sorority (Zeta Omicron Chapter), and Undergraduate Research Assistant in the Division of Cardiology at Johns Hopkins Medicine focused on studying the influence of exercise on clinical outcomes in patients with known cardiovascular disease. Passions for travel, fitness, and service. Co-founder of the women’s sports branch of BJB, and excited for the growth of new initiatives within the Baltimore community. 

Emily Ward (Board Member)

Bio: Junior from Charlottesville, Virginia majoring in Economics with a minor in Marketing & Communications. Defender on the women’s soccer team and interested in pursuing a career in marketing. Member of Morgan’s Message, a mental health advocacy organization for student-athletes. Excited to work with BJB to support women’s sports initiatives in Baltimore!

Greta Miller (Board Member)

Bio: Junior from Park Ridge, Illinois majoring in Environmental Science with a minor in Applied Math and Statistics. Small forward on the Women’s Basketball team. Interested in pursuing a career in a sustainability-related field. Vice President of Sigma Gamma Epsilon, the Earth and Planetary Honor Society. Student-Athlete Group Co-Chair of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and involved in coordinating community service events, and connecting student-athletes with the surrounding Baltimore community. 

Michaela O’Neil (Board Member)

Bio: Junior from Boston, Massachusetts majoring in Molecular and Cellular Biology and Spanish. Small forward on the Women’s Basketball team interested in pursuing a career in medicine. Active with the Baltimore community through Henderson Hopkins tutoring, Johns Hopkins Children’s Center Volunteering, and THREAD community relationship volunteering. Has volunteered with youth athletic organizations in Boston such as Newton Athletes Unlimited and Volo Sports.

Evelyn Batista (Board Member)

Bio: Junior from Austin, Texas majoring in Behavioral Biology with a minor in Psychology. Team captain and libero on the Women’s Volleyball team interested in pursuing a career in medicine. Research Assistant at the Johns Hopkins Medical Campus in the biomedical engineering division, with a focus on furthering evolutionary discoveries through behavioral research with marmosets. Looking forward to engaging with the Baltimore community through BJB!

Bio: Sophomore from Troy, Michigan studying computer engineering from the Whiting School of Engineering. Involved with BJB by managing our social media and planning social events to help fundraise. Defensive end of the football team, Campus Relations board member of the JHU Black Student Athlete Association, and tutor at Henderson Hopkins.  

Bio: Sophomore from Fair Haven, New Jersey pursuing a degree in Economics from the Krieger School of Arts and Sciences. Defensive back on the football team and pursuing a career in finance. Involved in BJB through contributing to the Henderson Hopkins food pantry and helping administer our annual golf outing. 

Bio: Sophomore from Cincinnati, Ohio majoring in Public Health and Natural Sciences with a minor in Bioethics. Center back on the women’s soccer team and currently on the pre-med track looking to apply to medical schools within the next two cycles (2025/2026). Programming chair of the Hopkins Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and involved in coordinating community service events, planning a Fall Bash Sports Event, and further connecting student-athletes with the surrounding Baltimore community. Additionally, involved in creating a Girl’s Fitness Club for students at Henderson-Hopkins, organizing BJB events, and helping out with food delivery.  

Grace Soltes (Board Member)

Bio: Sophomore from Long Valley, New Jersey. Majoring in Economics and Psychology. Forward on the women’s basketball team and interested in pursuing a career in finance. Involved in the community through volunteering with JHU’s SAAC chapter, Bryn Mawr School, Henderson Hopkins, and BJB.

Geoff Schroder (Board Member)

Sophomore from Rumson, New Jersey majoring in Economics and minoring in Financial Economics from the Kriger School of Arts and Sciences. Running back on the football team with intentions of working in the finance industry post-graduation in 2026. Accepted an internship with Morgan Stanley Wealth Management for this summer in New York City. I take part in BJB by managing social media and auctioning for potential sponsorships for our fundraising events.

Mia Edmonds (Board Member)

Bio: Sophomore from Hanover, New Hampshire majoring in Applied Mathematics and Statistics with a focus in Financial Mathematics. Defender on the Women’s Field Hockey team interested in pursuing a career in finance. Team Impact Fellow on campus, an organization that matches children facing serious illness and disability with college sports teams, creating a long-term, impactful experience for everyone involved.

Bio: Freshman from Nashville, Tennessee majoring in Economics and Environmental Studies with a minor in Spanish. Linebacker on the football team and involved in the community through tutoring at the Pen Lucy Action Network, food delivery and coaching at Henderson-Hopkins, and BJB events. Exploring internship opportunities in environmental economics.  

Bio: Freshman from Boca Raton, Florida majoring in Molecular and Cellular Biology with a minor in Bioethics and Psychology. Linebacker on the football team and currently on the pre-med track.
